Manchester United is the world’s first team to value at more than $3 billion, according to Forbes magazine. Man Utd is the richest team in the world among all.
The recent increase in its stock price has pushed up Manchester United’s enterprise value (equity plus debt) to $3.3 billion. This made the Manchester United value the highest of any other team in the world.
United’s latest quarterly record four months ago shown their long-term exceptional debt in $560 million.
Shares from the team were provided to the open last May at $14 but are simply just under $17, boosting the actual wealth from the Glazer family, which offers voting management of almost all of the team.
New sponsor deals with China Construction Bank and Japan’s Kansai helped the boost of their stock price and made the Manchester United value the highest according to Forbes.
The second richest sports team in the world is the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, worth $2.1 billion.
